Dear Chi Phi Alumni of UNC,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you have enjoyed a beautiful start to spring. After a memorable year, we want to update you on the current activities at the white house on South Columbia as yet another busy semester wraps up.
We would first like to thank all alumni and their families who attended our First Annual Cocktail Party on November 10th and our Annual Alumni Tailgate on November 11th. The turnouts for both events were a great success and all in attendance shared stories about their time at Chi Phi over music, food, and drink. We are excited to continue the events for the weekend of the Georgia Tech football game on October 12th. Specific details about the tailgate will come at the beginning of August but we are excited to invite all of our Alumni and their families back to Chi Phi once again.
As our chapter grows to a 20-year high of 86 active brothers, one of our primary objectives as a fraternity is to build stronger professional relationships between active brothers and alumni. Similarly, we hope to serve as a connecting point for communication between different alumni classes.
Our first step towards creating a new normal for communication between active brothers and alumni has involved creating a comprehensive document detailing the professional interests of active brothers. A link to this document has been provided in this newsletter in hopes that you will take the time to connect with an active interested in a similar career field as yourself.
Additionally, we have linked a short Google Form below that we highly encourage all of you to fill out that will provide us with your basic professional information. With your help, we plan on sharing this information with actives to enable them with the opportunity to network with you.
Our Fall rush process is right around the corner, and we are excited to induct the next great group of young men who will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of our chapter. If you wish to add an incoming freshman to our rush list, please fill out the Google Form at the link below.
We are extremely excited to be celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the first Chi Phi chapter at Princeton University on December 24th, 1824. To properly celebrate this important occasion with all alumni, we are planning a fall celebration the same weekend as our annual Alumni Tailgate on October 12th. As mentioned previously, additional details for both events will come to you later in August.
As we embark on this campaign to build stronger professional relationships with our alumni base, we are open to any of your ideas or assistance. We also hope you will contact us when you are around the Chapel Hill area if you wish to visit the house.
