Notable Alumni

There is a long list of famous Chi Phis, and that’s not surprising: Walter Cronkite, Lawrence “Crash” Davis, Greg Barton…the list goes on.

Here at Alpha-Alpha, we have our very own celebrity alumni. After all, UNC is a place where we learned leadership and character, and that attracted men of character.

Warren Grice Elliott, Railroads
Warren was president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad starting in 1902.

George T. Winston, Educator
Winston was an American educator and university administrator. During his tenure as president of the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts, now North Carolina State University, the college developed a new textiles curriculum and began offering summer courses.

We’re proud to call these men Alpha-Alpha Brothers.
